New look for my esty shop!

Don’t be confused- it’s still me, just a new banner! Honey-boy Eric finally honored his promise to make me a brand new banner! It looks super good I think (as do his chops, which he’s been ultra sensitive about lately). See for yourself!

Oooheee! So cute! And keep your eyes open for a little something like this . . .

NumNumNumNum- Tags from The Gilded Bee

So a couple of days ago I inquired about ordering in bulk from The Gilded Bee and it turned into a heavenly trade- I gave her some bias tape and she gave me these:

GB-Stripes2

Soon to be converted into delicious goodies FOR YOU! But what a lovely thing to get in the mail, non? Such lovely, sweet packaging! They came pouring out of the envelope like candy. Sigh. Stuff this great just fills my cup. Really. Not only are these cuties going to be put to good use, but don’t they look cute in my window?

If you’re looking for Danger-esque paper cuteness, these are definitely it. She also keeps several great blogs, but Abeille Couture is my favorite.

Whirlwind Two Weeks

Sigh. My two big shows are done and on one hand I’m satisfied and relieved. On the other hand I’m itching to do more shows! I had such a fantastic time at Bazaar Bizarre and then at Handmade Brigade. I love connecting with other vendors and being inspired by their lovely things. I love meeting people and getting firsthand feedback on my offerings. And fair food is fun too!

Now that my two shows are done and I’ve got a bit of room to breathe before Handmade Brigade in Laguna Niguel on June 27, I’m going to do a bit of organizing and inventory- whee! No, actually I really, really enjoy both of those things. Kinda sick, I know. And of course, I’ll be making even more goodies for your crafty consumption! And speaking of consumption, I think my pot roast should just about be done now. Yum!

Til next time, here’s a little catch up on my whirlwind two weeks.

Three days before Baz Biz- heck yes I’m buying peonies!

One day before Baz Biz, sad I had to leave them behind. I gave them to Grandma to enjoy while I was gone.

Wall to wall people! God love Bazaar Bizarre at Maker Faire. I wish I could do that once a month.

A little Handmade Brigade action. Oh- I almost forgot- Pot Roast!

Yumalicious Baz Biz Weekend

Phew- what an incredible weekend! We’re still trying to get an accurate head count, but I heard that there were supposed to be a hundred thousand people at Maker Faire this weekend! I’m pretty sure I saw every single one of them. The event was incredibly packed full of not just people but awesome demonstrations, performances, and activities, in addition to thunderous, fifty foot blasts of flame every so often. And the costumes- sweet siren were they incredible! Here are just a few highlights;

The Neverwas Haul- an incredible 3 story victorian house on wheels. It’s as beautiful inside as it is outside. They actually take it on the street! I was told that the bottom floor is actually a ballroom! I think my favorite thing about this is that it’s built from reclaimed items. I’m pretty sure I saw my grandma’s old bathroom cabinets in there. You can find out more about this gorgeous building on wheels here.

Just a good ole’ rideable steel snail with flames shooting from its eyes, nothin’ special.

In case you needed more flame, here’s 50 feet of it shooting into the air. It would go off every so often, and not only could you feel the thunder from across the lawn and inside the Baz Biz building, but you could feel the heat from about 100 yards away. Totally cool. In case you need height reference, in the bottom left of the photo you can see some people’s heads.

But I know you crafty ladies aren’t here for giant balls of flame, so I’ll get to the cute stuff.

I finally got to meet Pollyanna Cowgirl in person! Yay! She was just across the aisle from me and holy cow does she have a cute booth or what! And hey, that apron she’s wearing looks familar . . . that’s cause I made it *=*

Also in the adorable sector:

DSC_0328

Pie Bird Press and Honey Lux- I am in love. I’m sad that Honey Lux is kind of cut off in this photo, but no worries, I’ll post photos of what I bought from both shops (tomorrow- I need a breather man!)

DSC_0327

Hambone and Jennicakes- so cute! I bought a sleepytime mask for my delicate eyes. I used it last night- Oh YES. Oh, look at that- she’s also wearing one of my aprons! I swear I didn’t choose these girls just because they’re wearing my aprons! We just all happen to have great taste!

DSC_0324

Hue Yang Ceramics- so F-ing cute. I bought a couple of stamped ceramic magnets, but everything on her table was adorable- I’m not sure why Eric didn’t take photos of the actual things on the table. The booth itself is also really cute.

Um, oh yes, and my booth:

DSC_0309

I know it’s kind of hard to see amongst the crazy backdrop of t-shirts- I was surrounded- but there I am, buttons, aprons, and all. This was day two so my booth is actually pretty picked over at this point. Those bias tapes sure did fly! Rest assured, I got the message- I will definitely be making more bias tape!

If you live in Southern California and you didn’t make it to Maker Fair Bazaar Bizarre, no worries, I’ll be doing the Handmade Brigade this Saturday, June 6 at the Tall Mouse crafts store in Cerritosl! Yay! I’ll be there, bias tape in tow, from 10 to 4pm, bringing you as much cuteness as you can handle!
