Mysterious and Spooky Stuff in my Studio . . . OoooOOooooh!
Well, not that mysterious and more frustrating than spooky actually . . . I think I must have the evil sewing machine curse. Grandma watered my sewing machine through the window today. I usually keep the windows closed when she’s outside because she tends not to notice when windows are open as she’s watering plants. But she’s a ninja I tell you! When I went into the house to get a glass of water she was nowhere to be found. A whole 60 seconds later and there’s a fountain spewing from her hose onto my machine! Not just a little splatter, no. A nice, long soak for my very expensive and almost brand new machine. I love my grandma, but I admit to saying bad words in her direction as I rushed to dry as much as I could with a towel. As far as I can tell my precious machine is okay, but I unplugged it and put the fan on it just to be sure. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that all is well.
OH, yes but what I really have been wanting to ask is- does anyone know what this fabric is called or who makes it?

I bought it at Michael Levine’s without thinking. I LOVE it, but of course they don’t have it anymore, or anything in its family, so I have no clue who makes it or what it is. I’m achy all over to make cute stuff with it but I don’t have any left. grRR.
Well, I think it’s about time to go play with my new goodies- goodies for maky-stuff. Why goodies for maky-stuff? How about for HOLIDAY shows?!!!! So excited! Next blog post will be a nice run down of all my holiday shows from SF to Costa Mesa!
