Home Sweet Home- minus the camera cables.
Well, after much hustle and bustle and forgetting things and having to go back for them, Eric and the puppies and I are finally settled into our new place. I managed to take a big sigh, eat some baked goods, and then get back to work getting ready for Baz Biz this weekend!!
I promise I’ve been taking pictures of the new place, but you know how moving goes- I can’t find my camera cable. So those adorable puppy pictures will have to wait. I can tell you that we bought a new bed and it absolutely confirms my country cottage/ shabby chic love for mis-matched floral prints. I tried my hardest to resist it, but the bed is white with cute little curly cues and I had a hand-me-down quilt with vintage style handkerchiefs on it (from Target a few years ago), plus our walls are like a pale minty green. It’s just so cottagey!! Throw in a mis-matched pillow or two (some how my linens got separated during the move!) and WHAM! You’ve got yourself some cottage cozy! Sucks to be Eric, swimming in a 12 x 12 puddle of florals and faded cottons. He’ll live.
While I’ve mostly got the living quarters settled nicely, my studio (5 miles away) has been a shambles for a week and I’m barely pulling that together. I’ve noticed that I concentrate a whole lot better now that I’m on my own, but it sure is cold in there! I’ve got two little space heaters that do a decent job once they’ve been on for a few hours. I’m learning to craft in outer wear. I can’t wait to have it all put together and take pictures of it!! I’ve turned my once-desk-then-vanity back into a desk and I’m going to pull my gigantic vintage counter cabinet out of the pink guest room and into the studio where it belongs. It’s going to be a slow process. Wish me luck!
Oh yes, and don’t forget to come see me at Bazaar Bizarre in Golden Gate Park (in San Francisco) this weekend from 12-6 Saturday and Sunday!!

” I’m learning to craft in outer wear.” Meaning you previously crafted in underwear? I work from home myself, but never understood the appeal of sitting around in one’s skivvies.
Yes, Colin, I previously crafted in underwear.
