Tears of . . . um, Joy?

Okay, so up to this point I’ve just been really excited to move to our new place and explore a new state.  I’m a “band aid” kind of girl- don’t think about the painful bits, just do it.  But now I’ve actually had to start saying goodbye to people and I’m feeling really down about it.  Today is our very last day in L.A. sigh.

The really sad bit is that we’ve been so busy doing last minute things like cleaning out the house and going to the bank and the vet that we haven’t even gotten to say goodbye to everyone we love here.  Ugh.  I hate to ever be not happy on my blog, but it would be weird to pretend that I wasn’t really sad today.

I was planning on posting pictures and a post about this awesome diner Fel took us to this weekend, but to be honest I think I’ll save that one for later.  Instead, here’s a list of all the places in L.A. that I’ll miss the most.

* Disneyland

* Griffith Park & the Griffith Observatory

* The Getty Villa

* Silverlake

* Daichan on Ventura (we have yet to find anything that fits the bill in Portland)

* Cliftons

* The Garment District

* Canters

* The drive to Canters

* The Rosebowl Flea Market

* The thin pancakes at Pie N Burger in Pasadena

* Last, but not least, In N Out- tragic.  I may have to have some for lunch today.

Next time I write to you my lovelies, I will hopefully be much more cheerful and I’ll tell you all about the 5 Cent Diner ( my keyboard doesn’t even have the “cent” symbol, how sad!).  Maybe it’s called the Nickel Diner, but I think it should be called the 5 Cent Diner personally.  Look out for that post and wish me luck on a 16 hour car journey with 3 pups and a singing Eric!

    It’s SO hard. I totally know. We moved from Texas to Washington and it was difficult, yet exciting! Here’s to a new place, a new start and a promising future!!!
