My first post- PAPER PASTRIES. YUMMMMMM. It happened at the HBOC show- a booth so cute I wanted to vomit bunnies. Cake stands- check. Stripes- check. Delightful hand-lettering- check. But there was a boy manning the booth, so I wasn’t sure who this mystery stuff was from. Turns out that fun girl in the red dress- the one with the camera- the one with a sassy sense of humor- was Margaret from Paper Pastries! And guess what- I found her goodies in my favorites! And guess what else- she posted about ME! I think she made my booth look vomit-bunnies-cute!! Grab yourself a bucket and some bunny feed and check out the post HERE.
I’m putting together a VIDEO POST about the show, but in the meantime please take a moment to revel in a portion of total punk-cuteness!

I’m such a sucker for this lettering. You can see more gorgeous lettering on her blog!

I sure did. Margaret also carries an extensive line of these for all the most awesome cities- like San Francisco!

Just Cute. Jars are cute. Candy is cute. These cards are therefore cuter.
Oh yes, the idea behind the crafty crush is this- Every time I add a someone to my favorites list I get this wistful question in the back of my mind- Do they even know I exist? It’s like being in 7th grade again. I mean, there are a lot of crafters out there. A lot of cute stuff. And sometimes its’ so cute that I think- If my crafty stuff and their crafty stuff made babies what would it look like?
Eric and I ran into Ivy from Delightful Trinkets at the show and she gave me the AWESOME idea of posting about it. Because in fact, a lot of times if I think someone else’s stuff is knock-out cute they might think my stuff is too! And that’s like a golden moment, when you discover at a show or through a convo or (!) purchase that your crafty crush is crushin’ on you too!!
Maybe one day I can post about Crafty Crush Babies- Well little Timmy it’s like when one crafter and another crafter crush on each other very much . . .

I had SO much fun at the Handmade Brigade yesterday! Thank you to everyone who came out to see me! Nina hand picked some really fantastic vendors, and here are a very few of them ( I think I skipped some photo ops on accident).

Here are some lovely bits from By Belinda- very charming and very sweet and subtle. I love her lace appliques!
I somehow didn’t actually take a photo of Delightful Trinkets ( I think someone was standing in the way) but please go check her out- I basically want one of everything Ivy makes. And Oh her booth- SO cute. You know how I love cake stands. It was like a sea of candy colors and cake stands in the lightest, brightest colors. Mmm.

Look at them! Like candy. Like little sugary wafers! Little Chirpy Bird’s shop is just as cute as her booth!

Sweet Petina, how much I love Krank Press! Especially the Tokyo Taxi Cabs and the patterned books and the backyard fauna- Ooohhhh I want them ALL!
As for photos of my own booth- they’ll have to wait because lovely Eric has them on his camera. He tends to hold them hostage. BUT I do have something else to show you!

Soon to be in my etsy shop! And here’s a little something that already is in my etsy shop:

Til next time!

Don’t be confused- it’s still me, just a new banner! Honey-boy Eric finally honored his promise to make me a brand new banner! It looks super good I think (as do his chops, which he’s been ultra sensitive about lately). See for yourself!

Oooheee! So cute! And keep your eyes open for a little something like this . . .

Another etsy shop?! Hmmm.

Sigh. My two big shows are done and on one hand I’m satisfied and relieved. On the other hand I’m itching to do more shows! I had such a fantastic time at Bazaar Bizarre and then at Handmade Brigade. I love connecting with other vendors and being inspired by their lovely things. I love meeting people and getting firsthand feedback on my offerings. And fair food is fun too!
Now that my two shows are done and I’ve got a bit of room to breathe before Handmade Brigade in Laguna Niguel on June 27, I’m going to do a bit of organizing and inventory- whee! No, actually I really, really enjoy both of those things. Kinda sick, I know. And of course, I’ll be making even more goodies for your crafty consumption! And speaking of consumption, I think my pot roast should just about be done now. Yum!
Til next time, here’s a little catch up on my whirlwind two weeks.

Three days before Baz Biz- heck yes I’m buying peonies!

One day before Baz Biz, sad I had to leave them behind. I gave them to Grandma to enjoy while I was gone.

Wall to wall people! God love Bazaar Bizarre at Maker Faire. I wish I could do that once a month.

A little Handmade Brigade action. Oh- I almost forgot- Pot Roast!
