I’m definitely not the first person to share this information, but how ridiculous is this fabric.

It’s from Scarlet Fig and I bought some of each yesterday. I eagerly, eagerly await it. People have already started making really cute things with it. Sooo scrumptious. I was just telling someone the other day that my favorite colors include aqua and mustard. Uh huh.

Not that I have any clear purpose for this yet, but I absolutely could not stop myself from buying it.

Ridiculously sparkly and soft. I want to eat it.
Today is my first day of no work. It’s strange, and sooooo lovely. I just don’t know where to start! How about by adding a new item in my etsy shop? Okay, sounds good! Here it is. A bag of yummy, pretty scraps of fabric and trim. Some new, some vintage, all gorgeous and much loved by me. It’s time to start getting ready to move my studio and that means going through my fabric and passing it on to other crafters who will love it as much as I do!

Also I got a lovely, lovely mention at Gumball Grenade from Tanya, creator of the lovely, lovely Foxes and Fables goodies that I love so much. Thanks Tanya!

Alliteration is fun!
But what I was trying to say was that holy cow the rain has made me so productive! Even though I feel sluggish and kinda sad about the lack of dry-ness outside, I’ve been making a whole lot of stuff over the last twenty-four hours! So here, at long last, is my finished apron- I hope I did you proud Tanya!

Notice the sheen? I vinylized it. Protection for the white-ness. Utility, man, utility! Originally, if you recall, I was going to just pair the Wolf and Lil Red fabric with my red polka dots, but when it came down to it I just couldn’t. It was too bland. This is about a million times cuter than what i thought I was going to do. I used my new favorite bias tape (brown gingham again) plus a touch of red polka dots and my other new favorite, the faux bois in green from the Ginseng collection. SO flippin cute all together, non? I realized today that I have kind of a theme going. I put up the Hansel and Gretel Crafty Aprons last week, and now I’ve got some Lil Red Riding Hood too! Which folk tale shall I do next? Alas, the Lil Red Crafty Apron won’t be up in the Etsy shop for a little while. I’ve got to wait for some sunshine to take pictures with! Unless I get flooded with requests . . .

Rain again. But I used the rain wisely and made this adorable clutch from a Hyperart pattern. A-dor-a-ble. So cute. It’s funny because Karen’s style and mine are pretty different. We both like cute things, both like pretty things, but she goes kind of more the clean lines, Japanesie route and I am definitely more of the flouncy, romantically messy type. So here is a marriage of crafty styles:

The best of both worlds. I finally used some fabric that I’ve been hoarding since last summer. It’s a gorgeous vintage print that I got at the Rosebowl Flea Market. So cute. The strap is from the green floral bias tape in my etsy shop. Coming up next blogisode- Polly has finally finished her Gumball Grenade Crafty Apron!!!!! Just waiting for a little more sunshine to take photos.

this is what happens-

I saw this a few days ago on Etsy and I hearted it, but I keep going back to look at it. It’s just so pretty and ridiculously romantic. It’s the Spring Bloom Terrarium Pendant from Sophie Isobel. So cute. So sweet. But beyond that it takes me to another place, and I love that this photograph takes me there too. I love it. I also love the cutting layers and all the cutting that had to happen and i love the raw edges on the flowers. And I love the green velvet ribbon. The whole thing is just great. She also carries some other very great things- like my second favorite-

Cause i do. I heart him a lot. I heart him every time I sit down to iron for four hours while watching Pride and Prejudice- which version, friends? That’s right, the only one. The BBC mini series (when I say I heart Mr. Darcy, part of me is really saying I heart Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy).
Anyway, thank you Sophie Isobel Designs for making such adorable goodies!

Yay! Last week I ordered the week’s winning fabric from Spoonflower and it has finally arrived! So cute! You know how I love me some silhouettes. So what do I plan to do with my lovely fabric? Make aprons of course. Here is my fantasy combination.

Mmmhmm. I like it. And here are some links:
